Cannabis-Infused Spinach and Artichoke Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cannabis-infused butter (adjust dosage based on desired potency)
- 1 tablespoon regular butter (optional, if needed for taste or to dilute potency)
- 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Squeeze the excess water out of the thawed spinach. Drain and chop the artichoke hearts into small pieces.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, half of the mozzarella cheese, and the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy. Add the spinach, artichokes, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the mixture, stirring until everything is well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Melt the cannabis-infused butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl. Once melted, add it to the spinach and artichoke mixture. Stir well to ensure that the cannabis butter is evenly distributed throughout the dip.
5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired. Serve warm with a side of crackers, tortilla chips, or sliced baguette for dipping.
When using cannabis-infused butter, it’s important to know the potency to ensure that you’re achieving the desired effects without overdoing it. Start with a small amount, especially if you’re new to cannabis-infused cooking. You can always add more butter for stronger effects, but you can’t take it out once it’s in! Remember, edibles take longer to kick in, so enjoy in moderation and wait to see how you feel before consuming more.
